CSIA Q4 Webinar Series begins soon!

"Accelerating Worker Recovery through Social Support" October 3rd at 10:30am PST

"Not Your Average Stress Talk" November 7th 10:30 to 11:30am PST

We are kicking off the CSIA fourth quarter series of webinars on Thursday October 3rd with a webinar titled "Accelerating Worker Recovery Through Social Support ".  In this session, an expert panel, moderated by Yvonne Guibert of Institutes of Health, focuses on the “social” aspects of the biopsychosocial model of care and its importance for injured worker recovery.  The biopsychosocial model has three distinct domains:  Biological, psychological, and social, and the biopsychosocial model has long been identified as the best practice to achieve optimal health. Each of these domains is independent and interdependent. All three domains must be considered equally in order for success to happen and the influence of each domain on an individual in each person’s circumstance must also be considered. As an industry, we have all agreed this is the best model of health to follow to help people recover after they have been injured.

The second webinar on Thursday November 3rd is by Angie Jung, RN, BSN, CRRN, CCM, Chief Education Liaison with ISYS Solutions Inc.  The title of the webinar is "Not your Average Stress Talk".  Are you feeling overwhelmed and stressed out? This is a common theme among busy professionals. There’s little discussion about it, and we tend to look the other way, but working in claims is high stress.Over time, chronic stress creeps in. Chronic stress can be harmful in many ways, so we do everything possible to avoid it. But what if we’ve been dealing with stress all wrong? This session will address a different perspective to stress and perhaps reboot our mindset about it.

Please plan to join us for one or both of the webinars!

As always, these are free to members in good standing and cost only $25 for non-members!
